Thistle

Today is my latest pattern launch day. Thistle. This scarf was something that had been in my head for a little while. I had wanted to make something that was able to be worn year round that would accent any outfit. Thistle was created.

A versatile scarf that can be worn in a variety of different ways and that also could be created from a range of weights of yarns.

I choose King Cole Riot for this project. I love the end effect of the yarn and the seamless way the shades blend. Available here. They have such a wide range of colours to suit and each is absolutely beautiful.

Worn cross body, around the shoulders, traditional scarf, shawl etc. I have also partnered with a very talented friend who creates wonderful pieces of jewellery with wire.

Twisted Wirestarter is a new venture in wire wrapped jewellery. I commissioned him to create some accent pieces for my scarves and I have been delighted with the end results. You should check out his work, he’ll be only too happy to work on a commission with you.

So, back to the pattern and today is release day across all my stores! Just for you I have created a code for all my readers so that they may enjoy a little discount they can use store wide. If you input the code ‘thistle’ you will get a little discount off the pattern price. Click the photos below to take you to either Ravelry or Etsy.

Please also feel free to share your makes with me. I can be found on Facebook or you can also join in with me in a group I run alongside a fabulous Australian designer, Sue Stapleton of Auburncraft Crochet. Join Two Redheads Crochet to see weekly giveaways and general crochet chat.

Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to read my blog. It’s very much baby steps for me with it as I am still working my way around how to use it! Please feel free to leave a comment below 🙂

Next up is my Izzie doll and I can’t wait to get sharing her with you all.
