3 Little Hearts

I had recently made a blanket using the very pretty Larksfoot stitch (available Ravelry, Etsy and LoveCrafts) and had embellished it with 3 different sized hearts.

I decided then that I would like to make them using cotton. So I had some Paintbox Aran weight cotton (available here) that I had left over from a previous project so used it for these hearts.

I made them as stacking hearts so that when you make one size you then build upon it to create the larger sizes.

I also used my trusty Clover Amour 4 & 5 MM hooks. (You can get yours here) I have tried many hooks but these I return to time and again. They make working through the yarn a breeze.

I have written this using UK terms. (US are available in my PDF version)

Chain – CH

Double crochet – DC

Treble crochet – TR

Half treble crochet – HTR

Double treble crochet – DTR

Slip Stitch– SL ST

Stitch – ST

Beginning – Beg

Finish Off – F/O

Here is a handy how to guide for the Double Treble Stitch
